Kennsluhættir í grunnskóla og farsæld nemenda
Hugmyndin um farsæld nemenda kom fram á sjónarsviðið sem viðbragð við að námsárangur væri talinn eina markmið menntunar. Rannsóknir á kennsluháttum hafa tengt ólíka kennsluhætti við ólíka líðan nemenda. Markmið þessarar rannsóknar er að aðgerðabinda ólíka þætti farsældar nemenda í menntunarlegu samhengi og, með notkun fyrirliggjandi gagna, bera kennsl á þá kennsluhætti sem styðja hvað best við farsæld grunnskólanema.

Fjöltyngdar nálganir í fjölbreyttum bekkjum
Markmið þessarar rannsóknar eru í fyrsta lagi að kanna fjöltyngdar nálganir sem íslenskir kennarar og kennarar af erlendum uppruna nota til að byggja á tungumálaforða fjöltyngdra nemenda og styðja þá í tungumálanámi, læsi og námi í mismunandi faggreinum. Í öðru lagi að skoða námsaðferðir fjöltyngdra nemenda, þar á meðal hvernig þeir nýta fyrri þekkingu sína og tungumálin  til náms.
